Waste Collection and Cleaning Management System♻️🧹

WACOMOS: Digital Technology Serving the Environment

Population growth and rapid urbanization have led to a significant increase in waste production, making traditional waste collection methods inefficient and costly.

WACOMOS is a monitoring and supervision solution for waste collection and street cleaning. It enables municipalities to discover and understand the complex dynamics of their waste production and to ensure the effective management of public services for the collection and cleaning of household and similar waste.

The solution provides real-time online access to data related to monitored dumpsters, bins, and vehicles. It combines smart sensors, a waste collection and cleaning management software system, a mobile application for service operators, another application for inspectors/controllers, and an additional application for citizens.

Mobile Applications

Our system comes with three distinct mobile applications: one for the service operator, another for the inspector, and a third for citizens. These mobile apps offer numerous advantages for real-time operational monitoring, accessible anytime and from anywhere.

  1. Mobile Application for the Service Operator

For the service operator, the mobile app allows real-time supervision of collection and cleaning activities using the geolocation of motorized vehicles and carts. It also enables management of human resources and vehicles, and provides access to key data and reports. This real-time accessibility allows operators to make informed decisions and optimize operational efficiency.

  2. Mobile Application for the Inspector

For the inspector, the mobile app provides visibility over inspection routes and schedules. They can track progress in real-time, report issues or anomalies, and capture photos and videos via the app. This improves service quality, reduces delays, and ensures compliance with quality standards.

  3. Mobile Application for Citizens

For citizens, the mobile app allows them to report problems, submit special requests, or provide feedback on the cleanliness of their environment. They can also receive notifications about collection schedules, route changes, or awareness initiatives. This encourages citizen engagement and helps create a cleaner, more pleasant environment for everyone.

Dashboard and Statistics

Data plays a crucial role in decision-making and service improvement. Our system includes a powerful dashboard that provides both the municipality (delegating authority) and the service operator with an overview of collection and cleaning operations at a glance. The dashboard can be customized to meet the specific needs and objectives of the municipality or operator in terms of data analysis.

Through this dashboard, users have access to in-depth analytics that provide key insights into operational performance, trends, quality indicators, and much more. The data is presented in a clear and visual format, making it easier to understand and interpret essential information.

The dashboard includes, among other features:

Icône bleuReal-time visualization of vehicles on the map

Icône bleuReal-time visualization of container fill levels

Icône bleuReal-time data on waste collection progress

Icône bleuReal-time data on cleaning progress

Icône bleuStatistics on citizen complaints (by zone, by type, etc.)

Icône bleuStatistics on inspector reports (by zone, by type, etc.)

Icône bleuStatistics on the service operator’s response rate

Icône bleuStatistics on the tonnage of collected waste
